Mental Health for Mamas:
Preparing for the 4th Trimester
Did you know that perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are the #1 complication of pregnancy and childbirth—and one of the leading causes of maternal mortality in the U.S.
Yet so many moms feel pressure to "bounce back" or power through in silence.
We spend so much time preparing for the birth—but what about after?
The fog, the feelings, the identity shift, the mental load... the you in all of it?
Mental Health for Mamas: Preparing for the Fourth Trimester is a cozy, judgment-free workshop series designed to help new and expecting moms prepare for the fourth trimester in a way that centers mental and emotional health. Whether you’re a few weeks postpartum or still awaiting your due date, this space is for you.
Caring for your mental health in the fourth trimester doesn’t make you less focused on your baby.
It makes you better equipped to show up for them in the way you want to.
Led by licensed therapist (and fellow mom) Laura Sandoval-Sweeney, each 1-hour session explores a different aspect of early motherhood that doesn’t get talked about enough—like losing yourself, managing the invisible load, and how to care for your own mind in the chaos of newborn life.
You’ll walk away with:
~Real-talk knowledge about postpartum mental health (no sugarcoating, no scare tactics)
~A personal postpartum support plan—for you, not just baby
~Tools for emotional regulation, identity shifts, and self-compassion
~Connection with other mamas who just get it
Come solo or bring a mama friend.
Show up in your comfiest clothes. Cry if you need to. Laugh if you can.
Whether you’re a few weeks postpartum or still awaiting your due date, this space is for the you behind the “mama.”
You do not need to take our yoga classes to attend - all mamas are welcome!
